‘God Bless America’ In UK Trailer For Alex Garland’s Civil War

‘God Bless America!’ in Alex Garland‘s Civil War. Entertainment Film Distributors have released the UK Trailer for Garland’s much anticipated follow up to Men, America is on the brink of complete collapse.

He never holds back, in Garland’s films expect the unexpected especially in the political arena. Depending who you talk to, many believe ‘civil war’ is coming, this maybe fictional it feels very much grounded. The actual plot synopsis has been kept quiet, certainly a big slice of Dystopian future, reality, action and political drama.

Kirsten Dunst leads the cast in this one that is set in the U.S in the near future. She plays a photojournalist as war is here, what looks like between the government and The Western Forces (apparently forces made up of soldiers from California and Texas). ing her is a small group all making their way to Washington DC and the place ‘all empires fall’.

The reasons Dunst‘s group is heading to the capital is a little unclear. Things might not always go well, that is climate of contemporary US politics with this film stepping into ‘what if…’ scenario. For now there’s a lot of assumptions from what we are seeing in this trailer. It looks intense and this will be BIG, it’s the director’s first film made for IMAX!

An adrenaline-fueled thrill ride through a near-future fractured America balanced on the razors edge.

The film also stars Wagner Moura, Cailee Spaeny, Nick Offerman, Jesse Plemons, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Karl Glusman, Sonoya Mizuno, Jess Matney, and Jonica T. Gibbs.

Civil War will be in UK and Irish cinemas from 26th April 2024.
