Gerard Butler Feels The ‘Heat’ In First Den Of Thieves Trailer
We may not have seen Geostorm yet, but from the reviews that are out there, it’s a bit of a disaster for Gerard Butler. For his next attempt to wooing the cinephiles back to their local cineplexes with a gritty heist thriller Den Of Thieves.
STX Entertainment is releasing the movie in the UK and they promise the movie to be in similar vein to Michael Mann‘s classic Heat. It’s a big call to make when your director is Christian Gudegast, director of London Has Fallen. So is the ‘heat’ on Gerard Butler to deliver? Watch the official UK trailer below…
If they can pull off even a fraction of the movie that’s inspired this you could say this might be a success. The plot is actually not too bad and even if this feels like it’s from another decade the trailer looks pretty decent too. It’s a movie that asks for lower expectations and maybe this might surprise a few.
In Den Of Thieves, a notorious crew of bank robbers plan to pull off the ultimate heist – to steal $120million in cash from the Federal Reserve Bank in downtown LA… right under the noses of the state’s most feared police unit.
Den Of Thieves also stars Pablo Schreiber, O’Shea Jackson Jr., 50 Cent, Maurice Compte, Sonya Balmores, Kaiwai Lyman-Mersereau, Mo McRae, Meadow Williams and Brian Van Holt.
The movie will be released in the UK and Ireland from 2nd February 2018 (The USA is 19th January).
