Arnold Schwarzenegger Returns In First Look At Season 2 of Fubar

Netflix has announced the release date for the second season of their hit action-comedy series Fubar, and has unveiled a first look at the new season, including one new but very familiar face.
“Season 2 is bananas,” creator Nick Santora (Reacher, Prison Break) said when the series was initially renewed in 2023. “We’re coming up with some real fun surprises for FUBAR fans in Season 2, for sure.”
Schwarzenegger tells Tudum, “It is bigger, it is better. There are more laughs. There is more of everything … including one more legend!”
He’s talking about action titan Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix, The Acolyte), who’s ing the series to play a German spy named Greta Nelso, who also happens to be Luke’s ex.
“They are icons,” Santora says of Moss and Schwarzenegger. “They know how to do action, be funny, and create full and engaging characters. So it was great to just sit back and watch them do their thing.”
“We just got to have so much fun,” Moss tells Tudum. “I don’t know if I’ve ever had so much fun doing a job.”
“I talked to Nick, who I’d actually worked with before, and he pitched it to me,” says Moss. “I watched the show, and I laughed so hard. And in the way that he described Greta, I just thought it would be really, really fun. And, of course, working with Arnold was just an amazing thought in my mind — like, how amazing would that be?”
“I had such a fantastic time filming with Carrie-Anne Moss,” says Schwarzenegger. “She’s a badass in every way.”
At the end of Season 1, Santora teased that the extended Brunner family will have “a million things they’re going to have to deal with,” such as what’s going on with the shady analyst Tina, played by Brielle. “In Season 2, we’re going to go in knowing there might be a rat in the kitchen. And what are they going to do about that?” Not to mention that Luke and all his fellow agents’ identities have been exposed. “They’re in deep dog doo-doo, for sure,” said Santora.
“Well, as you know, to keep the gross analogy going, trying to clean up dog doo-doo can be messy,” Santora adds. “In life, when you’re in a tough situation, the only way out is through — but luckily, our team is able to go through it together. Whether the characters are blood relations (like Luke and Emma) or colleagues (like Aldon, Roo, Barry, and Dr. Pfeffer) or former spouses/fiancés (like Tally, Donnie, and Carter) or total weirdos (like the Great Dane and Norm) — they are family, and they know the only way they are going to survive is as a family working together. And they’re going to have to do so if they don’t want the world to end as we know it!”
Says Schwarzenegger, “I promise, you’re going to love it. And it’s perfect timing — Father’s Day weekend.”
Fubar: Season 2 streams on Netflix from June 12th.
