FrightFest Reveal There Awesome Graham Humphrey’s 2023 Artwork

How time flies when your having fun! Summer is here and so is the annual awesome artwork from Graham Humphrey. What for for you may ask? Frightfest!

Just as much as the line- up (coming in July for 2023 programme), what great artwork Humphrey will unearth is another must see. This Poster will mark Graham Humphrey‘s 15th year creating artwork for the world famous horror film fest.

This year’s theme is Mad Doctors and first look at the artwork horrorphiles will recognise them. Re-Animator’s Herbert West, as well as many of the genre’s most iconic mad scientists, including Dr. Caligari, Dr. Lecter and Dr. Moreau.

Graham revealed today: “This year’s FrightFest poster share it’s theme with the annual FrightFest book, exploring the subject of Mad Doctors. Once again, my artwork needed to be built in multiple parts that could be dismantled and rearranged across different formats, allowing individual elements to work on their own.

Re-Animator’s Herbert West, is clearly referenced by the FrightFest ghoul. He is surrounded by a series of classic ‘mad doctors’ in film. Unsurprisingly, they are all men!

This year’s annual Bank Holiday event, the UK’s largest celebration of genre cinema, takes place at Cineworld Leicester Square between Thursday August 24th until Monday August 28th.

This year’s FrightFest line-up of films will be announced on Thursday 13th July.
