It’s been a while since we said Tim Burton and great film in the same sentence, Beetlejuice is my only favourite Burton film but that could all change. A Second New FRANKENWEENIE Trailer has been sent to us from Disney Pictures shows Tim Burton might just be back on form!

People always say never look back to the past for answers to the future, always look forward however in Tim Burton’s case his inspiration is from his 1984 short film Baby Secret of the Lost Legend  now a full featured black-and-white stop-motion animation. The gothic & dark overtones of this film is what made Tim Burton famous and this is what film fans want, this is twisted a little offbeat and it seems this new trailer compared to the last one there is an dark twist to this films story. The first trailer was all about young Victor Frankenstein and his love for his dog but now the second trailer reveals new footage and expands on the plot too.

I really hope this is the true Tim Burton not the critical flop (but box office success) of Alice In Wonderland or the boring drivel of Dark Shadows, I’ve always ired his style but let down by the film itself. Here’s hoping Frankenweenie is great film which you can catch in UK&Ireland October 17th (October 5th USA), the film stars the voices of Charlie Tahan, Winona Ryder, Martin Short, Catherine O’Hara and Martin Landau.

From creative genius Tim Burton (“Alice in Wonderland,” The Nightmare Before Christmas”) comes “Frankenweenie,” a heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous. A stop-motion animated film, “Frankenweenie” will be filmed in black and white and rendered in 3D, which will elevate the classic style to a whole new experience. In Tim Burton’s “Frankenweenie” young Victor conducts a science experiment to bring his beloved dog Sparky back to life, only to face unintended, sometimes monstrous, consequences.
