Francis Ford Coppola’s One From The Heart: Reprise Getting A 4K Release

It was considered by some the film that nearly ended Francis Ford Coppola, One From The Heart: Reprise is however loved by many. Today Studiocanal announce they are are set to give the film a 4K Restoration release!

A majestic, but oddity of a film from the man who gave us The Godfather, Apocalypse Now. It was troubled production for many reasons, an ambitious film that inspired Baz Luhrmann‘s visual flair. One could argue Damien Chazelle‘s La La Land is a ‘spiritual sequel’ of sorts to One From The Heart.

Studiocanal are bringing it back to UK cinemas in February and have released a new trailer. With a 4K , Blu-ray and Digital release coming in March. Francis Ford Coppola has help supervise is cult film with 13 extra minutes added,  much more, check out trailer…

Hank (Frederic Forrest} and Frannie (Teri Garr) argue while celebrating their fifth anniversary. Yearning for a life of excitement and romance, Frannie fears that she is wasting her life on a man who shows no interest in her dreams of travelling to far-off places. The argument escalates and they break up.

Heading in separate ways and taking to the streets, they both meet and spend the night with strangers. Hank with the seductive Leila (Nastassja Kinski) a runaway circus performer, and Frannie with Ray (Raul Julia), a handsome waiter who moonlights as a cocktail pianist and singer. After another show-down, Frannie says that she is leaving Hank for Ray and that they plan to escape to Bora Bora. Hank follows her to the airport in a last-ditch attempt to win her back.

Starring Frederic Forrest, Teri Garr, Raul Julia, Nastassja Kinski, Lainie Kazan and Harry Dean Stanton.

One From The Heart: Reprise will be first released in UK Cinemas from 16th February. Then on 4th March on 4 disc 4K UHD, 2 disc Blu-ray, DVD and Digital.
