First Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials Trailer Burns Online

The Maze was just the beginning and this September Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials arrives and now we get our first look at the first trailer.If the Maze survivors think their over the worse they have the greatest challenge in front of them as they try to piece the jigsaw of who are WCKD.

We’ll be honest with the YA films that have come and sunk into oblivion many did not give Maze Runner a chance however it surprised us all. Becoming one of the most visceral and exciting films not just for the sub genre but for 2014 overall.

In this next chapter ,Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) and his fellow Gladers face their greatest challenge yet: searching for clues about the mysterious and powerful organization known as WCKD. Their journey takes them to the Scorch, a desolate landscape filled with unimaginable obstacles. Teaming up with resistance fighters, the Gladers take on WCKD’s vastly superior forces and uncover its shocking plans for them all.

The mystery surrounding the Maze and why the Gladers where put there in the first place set up made the first film intriguing. It seems alterations have been made to the source material but watching the trailer those changes look like they fit naturally into the bigger picture. Like The Hunger Games, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials has moved away from it’s original surroundings to the scorched lands, the laboratories but will this make those not familiar to James Dashner‘s books think this maybe just another generic film? The labyrinth may have changed but the dangers are still there.

Wes Ball is back behind the camera for this one with Dylan O’Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Patricia Clarkson all reprising their roles. They are ed by newcomers Aiden Gillan,Giancarlo Esposito, Aidan Gillen, Barry Pepper, Lili Taylor with Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials arriving in UK 17th September (USA 18th September).
