First full trailer for Shaun the Sheep The Movie arrives

The latest stop-motion creation from the creative geniuses at Aardman Animation sees the incredibly popular TV series Shaun the Sheep get a cinematic outing in the aptly named, Shaun the Sheep The Movie, and we have the first full trailer for your viewing pleasure.

After making his first appearance alongside Wallace and Gromit in the Academy Award winning film A Close Shave, Shaun the Sheep went on to headline the eponymous TV series, which is shown in over 170 countries.  Now, in his first big screen adventure, we see the mischievous Shaun’s antics inadvertently lead to the Farmer being taken away from the farm, resulting in Shaun, Bitzer, and the rest of the Flock making the trip to the big city to attempt to rescue him.

 

The trailer shows Shaun and the gang getting up to all sorts of hilarious shenanigans, in traditional Aardman style.  It remains to be seen how the (mostly silent) characters in the TV show will play on the big screen, with a full-length film with little dialogue perhaps being off-putting to some.

Shaun the Sheep The Movie is directed by Mark Burton and Richard Starzak, and is released in UK cinemas on 6th February.
