Film Review – All About Sex (2020)

Not quite Reality Bites, young love, trials and tribulations of getting things right in or out of bed, alongside most of importantly, lifelong friends sticking together through ultimate challenges.
Also known as, Natural Disasters, writer director wide-eyed star Dakota Gorman, delivers a kind of millennial mumblecore romantic endeavour that eternally goes nowhere, but remains enlightening.
Magnetic Gorman as Sage is a graphic artist of considerable talent whining away in a coffee shop, while her best friends Casey (Natalee Linez) and Morgan (Emma Deckers) have their own careers to balance with bumpy love lives in equal measure.
Conversations concerning bodily fluids are common as are life hacks in of each other whilst all three relatively stalling on moving into true adulthood. Male contingent in the cast basically takes a step back which is a good move as an odd bunch they are.
With a ridiculous ability to draw immediate iration through radiance and omnipresence without trying, Emma Deckers is a definable standout as Morgan. From her extra-curricular activities that ultimately catch up with her, to falling in love with kind, regular guy Lowick (Matt Angel), her movements are irresistible to the viewer and imperative to unconventional wayward story arcs.
It’s truly obvious Deckers, has ability to continue to soar romantic comedic heights whilst auteur Gorman, has irrepressible range to ignite when given or creating bigger projects, think Greta Gerwig!
All About Sex, isn’t really;
there’s actually a lot more to proceedings which will bring joy.
Graffiti spotted, Eddie Murphy is a Good Actor, made me smile, never a truer word.
