Fear The Sinkhole In The Hole In The Ground UK Trailer And Clip

We love Sundance Film Festival as its the starting base for some of the must see films for the next 12 months. If we go with the buzz, they premiered the first must see horrors for 2019, The Hole In The Ground.
Something nasty is lurking in the forest in what might be the most frightening film of the year, a nerve-jangling mix of The Witch and Hereditary, from formidable first time director Lee Cronin.
We do love our Arthouse Horrors especially ones full of atmospheric tension. The early reviews ask you to be patients, as this seems its a slow burner. One with spooked old ladies, creepy kids and monstrous sinkholes that would put fear in the bravest of the bravest? Unsettling , distrubing
Vertigo Releasing have sent us the film’s UK Trailer and we’re loving everything we’re seeing. Now step back from that big sinkhole and enjoy…
We’ve also received a new clip from the film, which Sarah and her son are driving before someone steps in their way. It’s an mysteriously creepy cloaked old lady, who has eyes for Sarah’s son!
Sarah moves her precocious son Chris to a secluded new home in a rural town, trying to ease his apprehensions as they hope for a fresh start after a difficult past. But after a startling encounter with a mysterious new neighbour, Sarah’s nerves are set on edge.
Chris disappears in the night into the forest behind their house, and Sarah discovers an ominous, gaping sinkhole while searching for him. Though he returns, some disturbing behavioural changes emerge, and Sarah begins to worry that the boy who came back is not her son.
The film stars Seána Kerslake, James Cosmo, Kati Outinen, and James Quinn Markey.
The Hole In The Ground will be released in the UK and Ireland from 1st March. If you can’t wait for another 3 weeks, the film will preview at Glasgow Film Festival Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd February [more info].
