Everyone Has Demons In Netflix’s Wendell & Wild First Trailer

Get cosy with your personal demons, in the delightfully wicked Wendell & Wild. Netflix release the first teaser for Henry Selick‘s stop motion animated feature that teases we all have those ‘demons’.

The Coraline director (Selick) is no stranger to the slightly darker edged animation… or should I say, demonic?

Jordan Peele produces one as well as voice of one of the brothers along side his comedic sparring partner, Keegan-Michael Key. The pair voice our titular characters, Wendell and Wild, scheming demonic brothers. They attempt to make their way in the real world, they do need a little bit more help. Teen girl Kat (Lyric Ross) is having problems/ ‘inner demons’ to deal with, could both each help other?

This look macabre , eerie yet still grounded for a 12A audience. Certainly horror themed which also has it’s foot in comedy too.

From the delightfully wicked minds of Henry Selick and producer Jordan Peele comes Wendell & Wild, an animated tale about scheming demon brothers Wendell (Keegan-Michael Key) and Wild (Peele), who enlist the aid of Kat Elliot a tough teen with a load of guilt to summon them to the Land of the Living. But what Kat demands in return leads to a brilliantly bizarre and comedic adventure like no other, an animated fantasy that defies the law of life and death, all told through the handmade artistry of stop motion.

The rest of the cast includes Angela Bassett, James Hong, Tamara Smart. Natalie Martinez, Tantoo Cardinal, Igal Naor, Gary Gatewood, Gabrielle Dennis. David Harewood, Maxine Peake, Ramona Young, Sam Zelaya, Seema Virdi, and Ving Rhames.

Wendell & Wild will premiere on Netflix globally from 28th October.
