Emotions Are High As Inside Out 2 Debuts Official Film Chart No 1 Spot

Emotions are high as Inside Out 2 makes an incredible chart-topping debut on the Official Film Chart.
Earning a massive 111,800 sales in its first week – all on digital s – Inside Out 2 marks the biggest first week of sales – and sales overall – since Oppenheimer in 2023, which managed 113,800.
In the sequel to the 2015 Disney Pixar family favourite, Riley experiences brand new, more complex emotions as a result of entering puberty. When Anxiety (Maya Hawke) shows up, Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Fear (Tony Hale), Anger (Lewis Black) and Disgust (Liza Lapira) have to learn to adapt to this new emotion, who doesn’t turn up alone…
Meanwhile, last week’s Number 1 Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga finishes at Number 2, while Barbie rebounds to Number 3. The Fall Guy drops one place to Number 4 while Dune also rebounds, up one to Number 5.
Wonka bounces up four (6) to finish just ahead of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (7), and IF (8) which tumbles five places. Coraline (9) jumps four to enter the Top 10 for the very first time following a 15th anniversary 3D remaster and re-release in cinemas.
Finally, The Garfield Movie, which stars Chris Pratt as the eponymous cat alongside a star-studded voice cast including Samuel L. Jackson, Hannah Waddingham and Nicholas Hoult, makes its Official Film Chart debut at Number 10.
