DVD Review – Rock Dog (2017)

Rock Dog is an adaptable new family adventure that I got the chance to watch. Definitely not for my age group but is a film I still managed to enjoy this is one that I think all families will be able to watch.
It is not the greatest film ever made nor is the animation outstanding but for what it is it is a delightful and cute family about a dog and music! What more could a family film ask for!!
In Rock Dog, does tell the story of a wide-eyed Tibetan Mastiff (voiced by Luke Wilson) whom a radio falls from the skies and into his hands.Introduced to the music he goes out to fulfil his dream of becoming a musician, setting into motion a series of completely unexpected events.
This month while the adults enjoy the shocks and thrills of the horror genre the kids can have fun with this odd little film.
Going into this I wasn’t sure what to expect I had looked up some other reviews and found that the film was getting mixed reviews, however I went into it not looking at what I want to see in a film but what a child or a family with small children might want to see in this film. I also thought back to the kinds of films I would watch as a kid and this hits all the marks for me.
This so a fun, colourful and adorable adventure for kids and adults and is perfect for the rainy days we are having this time of the year!
