Darren Aronofksy In line to create 'Machine Man' sci-fi Thriller

No one saw this coming! Darren Aronofksy according to Heat Vision is in line to create a “cybernetic thriller” called Machine Man for Mandalay Pictures. Before you say anything this is not a comicbook its actually based on a book by Max Varry then adapted for the screen by Mark Heyman who co-wrote Black Swan with Aronofsky and the report does mention the director close to g the deal to direct Wolverine 2 which should shoot 2011 and Machine Man now looks like the next project after Wolverine!

Deadline posted a description by Mandalay about Machine Man as a amped up pop-thriller about a geek gadget  who happens to be a engineer at a top company and bored of living a unoticed  average life he decides to take things into his own hands and start self-improvement. He now become obbessed with improving himself he replaces weak fleshy parts with high-end titanium parts to make himself the perfect upgrade but there is another darkside to the story, he  discovers other entities have designs on him for their own personal motives.

Is this a start of robot-esque movies? possibly as we do have Steven Speilberg’s Robopoclypse on the agenda and I have to it im now like the kid let loose in a toy shop after its been locked up after trade hours with the sake of 2 robotic themedmovies to look forward to, so whats your thoughts of Darren Aronofskys now looking to get into sci-fi?
