Dan Stevens Set To Return For Another Titanic Clash In Godzilla X Kong Sequel

The Guest and Abigail star Dan Stevens is set for another bout of titan fighting with word from The Hollywood Reporter that the British actor is set to return for the next installment in the Godzilla X Kong franchise.
Stevens appeared in last year’s Godzilla X Kong: A New Empire as Trapper alongside Rebecca Hall, Bryan Tyree Henry and Kaylee Hottle and is set to appear in the new film, which is scheduled for release in a couple of years.
The Last Of Us star Kaitlyn Dever has already been announced as being part of the cast, with news still to be announced if any other member of the cast from last summer’s film will return.
One person who isn’t returning is director Adam Wingard (The Guest), who is moving onto other things with I Am Mother director Grant Sputore taking over directing duties with Dave Callaham (Godzilla, Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse) scripting the film.
The Monsterverse, as its known, first started in 2014 with Godzilla – starring Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe and Bryan Cranston – followed by 2017’s Kong: Skull Island, which featured Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, and John Goodman.
The Godzilla sequel, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which starred Millie Bobbie Brown, Kyle Chandler and Vera Farmiga, bowed in 2019, before Godzilla Vs Kong bowed in 2021, followed by last year’s film. So far, the series has grossed over $2.5billion worldwide and shows no signs of slowing down, as fans across the world – and Dan Stevens – seemingly cannot get enough of the epic battles and monster fist-fights.
The Godzilla X Kong sequel is set for release on March 26, 2027.
