Bloody Vengeance For Bill Skarsgård In Boy Kills World Trailer

We love those unexpected films that become big , possibly cult success. Last September’s Boy Kills World premiered at Toronto Film Festival, now we have the first Trailer…Bloody Vengeance For Bill Skarsgård.

Boy Kills World is a post apocalyptic action thriller directed by Moritz Mohr. It’s based the director’s own short film with Sam Raimi as a producer. Skarsgård is our titular ‘Boy’ who is left for dead and orphaned by the ruling family ruling the corrupt world. Desperate for revenge he is trained by a mysterious shaman into a weapon of vengeance and death, mayhem is let loose.

If it’s at the same level, if you enjoyed films like John Wick, The Raid, Hunger Games even Scott Pilgrim, this might be one for you.

Skarsgård stars as “Boy” who vows revenge after his family is murdered by Hilda Van Der Koy (Janssen), the deranged matriarch of a corrupt post-apocalyptic dynasty that left the boy orphaned, deaf and voiceless. Driven by his inner voice, one which he co-opted from his favorite childhood video game, Boy trains with a mysterious shaman (Ruhian) to become an instrument of death and is set loose on the eve of the annual culling of dissidents. Bedlam ensues as Boy commits bloody martial arts mayhem, inciting a wrath of carnage and blood-letting. As he tries to get his bearings in this delirious realm, Boy soon falls in with a desperate resistance group, all the while bickering with the apparent ghost of his rebellious little sister.

The film also stars Jessica Rothe, Michelle Dockery, Famke Janssen, Sharlto Copley, Brett Gelman, Isaiah Mustafa, Andrew Koji and Yayan Ruhian. Boy Kills World will be in U.S Cinemas from 26th April, there’s no word on who will release the film in the UK and Ireland, plus when will it be.
