Berlinale 2015 – Weiner and Oppenheimer complete programme

Yesterday was a busy day in of Berlinale news, with the morning seeing who will jury president Darren Aronofsky on the international jury, and a little after, we saw the full programme released.
The programme was completed with the news that international jury member Matthew Weiner and First Feature Award jury member Joshua Oppenheimer will both have their latest films showing at the festival, rounding off the Berlinale Special.
Weiner, best known for his television work, most notably creating the award-winning Mad Men, and writing for The Sopranos, will show his feature film debut, Are You Here. Starring Owen Wilson, Amy Poehler, and Zach Galifianakis, the film focuses on two stoner friends who embark on a road trip, after one of them discovers he has inherited a chunk of cash from his recently deceased father.
Joshua Oppenheimer received a Panorama Audience Award in 2013 at Berlinale, for his Academy Award nominated documentary The Act of Killing. He returns to the festival with the companion piece to his previous film, titled The Look of Silence. A hard-hitting documentary, that sees a family who have survived the Indonesian genocide confront the men who killed one of their brothers.
