Batman Vs Super Has It’s Lex Luthor…Jesse Eisenberg

Holy Batflaps!  Zack Snyder’s Batman Vs Superman aka Man Of Steel 2 has chosen it’s Lex Luthor and it’s a name no one expected… Jesse Eisenberg

The movie maybe  delayed for 1 year but it hasn’t stopped Warner Bros pushing ahead who will play what in Man Of Steel sequel and I’m sure we can safely we never seen this coming!Since the announcement of the Superman sequel the rumour mill has been in overdrive with the old gossip surfacing of Bryan Cranston to play Lex Luthor, one many fans ed too. The announcement of a younger actor playing the iconic character is not really as a shock  as some might think more than the actual actor you choose.

Jesse Eisenberg may shock many people but Henry Cavill Superman himself is the same age as Eisenberg so may make things a little level headed when it comes to Man Of Steel dealing with an adversary of the same age. The actor maybe drifting into unknown territory as a masterful villain however he has proven he can potentially handle the role well, someone emotionless, power hungry, talk the talk like he did as Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network.

The news  wasn’t all about Lex Luthor, another iconic character was officially announced today, Jeremy Irons  is to play Bruce Wayne’s ever faithful ‘father figure’ butler Alfred. The choice of Irons as Alfred is not as leftfield as Jesse Eisenberg , Irons has the experience to deliver a slightly more darker but also deliver a levelheaded mentor figure for Bruce.

I think The guys at Totalfilm knew something we didn’t when it came to Jesse Eisenberg‘s choice for Luthor when they interviewed the actor back at last years London Film Festival. He spoke about the movie, check out what he said in that video below….

Batman Vs Superman is set for May 2016 release date with Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck ing Irons, Eisenberg as the other new cast ing  Amy Adams, Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne.
