Evening Me ‘arty’s Aardman Animation and Sony Pictures have shipped us over tonight across the high seas with the Official second UK trailer of The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists. If your American (or from a part of the world which has a different name) the name of this animated feature is the original name and the one still be used in UK, in USA Its The Pirates!Band Of Misfits, I don’t know why Sony has changed it its like the first Harry Potter film which had a different name so don’t worry folks its the same film! Based Gideon Defoe’s The Pirates! books and if you love Wallace & Gromit films, Chicken Run you’ll be in for a treat here as the visual style as well as the brand of humour associated with those claymations you will see in The Pirates! The film is backed by a fantastic cast lending their voices for some fun and frolic on the seas: Hugh Grant, Martin Freeman, David Tennant, Imelda Staunton, Jeremy Piven, Salma Hayek, Brian“Gordon’s Alive!” Blessed, Brendan Gleeson, and Ashley Jensen.

In The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists, Hugh Grant stars in his first animated role as the luxuriantly bearded Pirate Captain – a boundlessly enthusiastic, if somewhat less-than-successful, terror of the High Seas. With a rag-tag crew at his side (Martin Freeman, Brendan Gleeson, Russell Tovey, and Ashley Jensen), and seemingly blind to the impossible odds stacked against him, the Captain has one dream: to beat his bitter rivals Black Bellamy (Jeremy Piven) and Cutlass Liz (Salma Hayek) to the much coveted Pirate Of The Year Award. It’s a quest that takes our heroes from the shores of exotic Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London. Along the way they do battle with the pirate-hating Queen Victoria (Imelda Staunton) and team up with a young Charles Darwin (David Tennant), but never lose sight of what a pirate loves best: adventure!

The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists will be released in UK &Ireland on March 28th 2012 with USA 2 days later on March 30th 2012.
