In a few weeks 20th Century Studios will be hoping horror fans will be flocking to the cinemas. When they release The First Omen, today they have released the second UK Trailer that teases a new terror awaits!

With the recent atrocious reboots of cult horrors, it’s a bold move to call this one “The most terrifying movie of the year“. This is a prequel, this doesn’t mean it will be let off the hook if anything after Halloween and The Exorcist it will be scrutinize even more.

Arkasha Stevenson directs and stars Nell Tiger Free. She is an American woman who is in her early days in becoming a nun who is sent to Rome. Walking into a dark, terrifying conspiracy that not only questions her faith. It may see her witness the spawn of Satan rising.

Ralph Ineson is the connection between the original film and this one. He is Father Brennan who was played by Patrick Troughton in the original.

When a young American woman is sent to Rome to begin a life of service to the church, she encounters a darkness that causes her to question her own faith and uncovers a terrifying conspiracy that hopes to bring about the birth of evil incarnate.

Also starring in this one will be Tawfeek Barhom, Sonia Braga, Nicole Sorace, and Bill Nighy. The First Omen UK, Irish and U.S Cinema release date is still the same, it’s 5th April.
