It’s finally arrived, A Minecraft Movie has it’s first UK Teaser Trailer. Warner Bros Pictures unleashed the beast and first impressions it looks creepy but most of all bad!

Video game movie adaptations record to be honest has been poor. Now it’s the turn of the most popular game in the world, in defence many fans of the game will like what there seeing. A lot won’t despite this one minute plus promo teasing classic tropes of the game.

A Minecraft Movie creativity is essential (looking at this non-existent) to survive. Jason Momoa is one of the four misfits from the real world pulled into the oddity Overworld which cubic imagination thrives. In order to get back home they must master the world and help might come from an exptert crafter (Jack Black).

It will make the money at box office, Jared Hess (Nacho Libre) is directing convince me to like this. If they can capture the Lego movies magic they will be onto a winner…

Welcome to the world of Minecraft, where creativity doesn’t just help you craft, it’s essential to one’s survival! Four misfits — Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison (Momoa), Henry (Hansen), Natalie (Myers) and Dawn (Brooks)—find themselves struggling with ordinary problems when they are suddenly pulled through a mysterious portal into the Overworld: a bizarre, cubic wonderland that thrives on imagination. To get back home, they’ll have to master this world (and protect it from evil things like Piglins and Zombies, too) while embarking on a magical quest with an unexpected, expert crafter, Steve (Black). Together, their adventure will challenge all five to be bold and to reconnect with the qualities that make each of them uniquely creative…the very skills they need to thrive back in the real world.

The film also stars Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks, Sebastian Eugene Hansen, Jennifer Coolidge, Kate McKinnion and Jemaine Clement. A Minecraft Movie will be released in the UK, Ireland and the U.S from 4th April 2025.
